Seeing movement in the opening of this leaf that had curled in on itself I of course had to investigate.
Discovering that paper wasps were busy building a nest.
Not wanting to disturb them I kept my distance, I thought it a rather good place to take up temporary residence......

You have so much insect activity in your garden! I've no doubt insects are everywhere, but you seem to have an abundance of them...how fascinating!
I seem to have the knack of seeing them that is for sure.
Quite productive, aren't they?
They are, not sure if the nest is finished or they are still building.
