The First Warm...............

The first warm day in many months as spring weather is now with us. The sun already having a bite to it and I realised that the coming months of intense summer heat are not something I am looking forward to. 

The bush walks will now need to be done with a little more care as the weather warms there are a couple of dangers to be aware of. Waking snakes who although sleepy are not creatures I wish to encounter nor getting stuck in fire. Sadly the powers that be use this season for burning off. Nesting birds are always my concern during these burns as more often than not these fires get out of control. And those too young to get out of the way don't survive. 

Already the winter grasses are dying off and the strong scent of eucalyptus fills the air the sun warms the trees. This little pathway that I found was slightly elevated and there were nice views to be enjoyed. A few flowering plants were seen, however the discovery of a tiny praying mantis was my moment of wonder today. So tiny and camouflaged well on a budding gum tree keeping it safe from predators.

Following my intuition never fails to inspire and amaze me.......

 

Swarming Bees........

Swarming bees added an energetic ambience to the air as they frantically buzzed and flew in dizzying circles until all of a sudden they all flew into the distance......
