The Promise...

The promise of rain lay lingering on the horizon, the sky awash with colour as once again I wait with expectancy for a refreshing reprieve from the heat.
All was still, there was a palpable feeling of anticipation in the air, like the world around me was taking a long-paused breath, waiting.
No wind, no sounds at all...

No Matter...

And In With...

And in with the new to me outdoor setting.
This second-hand setting has given me a second lounging area, I have only had it a couple of days and already so much time has been spent here. It is a perfect place for reading, having my morning coffee and of course it is the perfect perch for observing the garden and all my daily visitors.
Once summer is over and I can resurrect the lawns it will become even more appealing when there is lush green carpeting the earth instead of dry dusty sand which is what I currently have...

Out With The Old...

Out with the old, here in Western Australia there is this lovely practice of placing household items you no longer want onto the front verge of your property. Here passersby can see if they could find a use for the items.
These two chairs lasted an hour before being scooped up and taken off to their next home...

Finding Another...

Finding another as yet unexplored garden centre in a part of the city I seldom visit seemed a good way to spend yet another sweltering hot day.
I found the gift section of the nursery was certainly a feast for the eyes. I quite liked this frog statue and perhaps I might return to purchase one to put next to the pond in the front garden. It certainly gives off a happy vibe.
The garden centre was much smaller than I had imagined, yet it was tended to with care.
The koi pond was a lovely relaxing touch, and I did linger awhile watching the fish lazily swimming about...
