The Ever Adorable..........

The ever adorable Charlie and the super relaxed way he sleeps always brings a smile to my face.....

A Magical...

A magical visitor.....

Two Old Lanterns......

Two old lanterns given to me a few months ago began their transformation this afternoon. Instead of the drab dark colour they had a lovely glittery creamy gold is being prayed over them. Giving them a much brighter and twinkly appearance.....

Murray Kyle - Higher Hear the Mountain

While I Enjoyed....

While I enjoyed swinging lazily in the hammock watching the evening slowly creeping in, the kitties also enjoyed their afternoon outside time.
The sun sinking slowly, birds singing, soft breeze blowing and the kitties all relaxed content to watch the world passing by.
Perfect!
Birds were flitting in and out of the trees and shrubs, which gave them plenty to watch. Charlie and Bear enjoyed a quiet moment together. Even Nala lasted more than her regular five minutes out in the fresh air.
What I love seeing the most when the cats are outside is how the chickens always come over to spend time with them too. They all seem to be equally intrigued with each other, I do wonder what is going through their minds as they all check each other out. But that is one question I will never get an answer to, instead I love watching them watching each other.
The hammock certainly was a great addition to my little patio area, it's been less than a week since I have had it and since then each afternoon it's here I head after my working day to relax and enjoy my little private sanctuary......

Someone Knew

Someone knew I was about to leave and head home, so a lead was brought in the hope that he was coming with me too.
Super sweet to know that this little pup enjoys my weekly visits so much.....

With A Cubby Hole....

With a cubby hole of cushions and a blanket made especially for Miss Bear to snuggle in. She cosied up to me paw on my leg while I did a bit of studying on the daybed. Content to spend time with me, the occasional meow was uttered perhaps letting me know that all was well in her world before falling into a peaceful sleep......

A Family......

A family of carnaby cockatoos enjoying a fresh drink of water in a new birdbath my friend has placed in her garden. She said that it was quite unnerving when she walked out of the door of her house and they all turned to look at her. These cockatoos are only found here in Perth, sadly they are a threatened species with their habitat being continuously destroyed. I have noticed though recently when families fly over my cottage that the flocks are increasing in size, hopefully we can save them from extinction there is a recovery program in place so hopefully this will work and these beautiful birds will continue to breed and thrive......

When My Friend.....

When my friend showed me this photo from her parents garden in England I thought at first I didn't want to know what sinister act had been done. At first glance it looked horrific. But! It is a cocoon of tent moths, which just happened to replicate an animal strug up in the tree. Never seen this here in Western Australia and was fascinated as always at how extraordinary Gaia and her creatures truly are.......

Ayla Nereo - Eastern Sun (Official Video)

A New Hammock....

A new hammock brings with it another way to enjoy my patio. Erecting the frame yesterday and rearranging the rest of the outdoor furniture and plants I found that this area really has become an tranquil outside room. Deciding that I will get some plastic grass mats to go on the bare ground until I get around to paving the area to finish it off a bit more. As well as limiting the sand that blows around.
But as with any idea it brings with it a bit of work, I will need to level the sandy soil before laying the grass mats down, so I guess that is my job this weekend......

Once Again....

Once again Nala tried to push Charlie off their favourite chair, this time though Charlie was having none of it. Refusing to move even though Nala kept trying to squash him he stayed put.
Then Nala tried a different approach but Charlie still would not move. With many cosy snuggly places to sleep I do not know why this chair needs to be fought over by these two.....

No Idea....

No idea what had Miss Bear and Charlie so enthralled, but they were certainly mesmerised about something outside. Charlie losing interest first and thinking his sister needed a bit of of grooming.
Gentle moments are what true wealth is all about.....
