Yesterday......

Yesterday brought with it another storm. The second day of autumn and the bounty of rain already unleashed has been rather impressive. On Monday the rainfall gave the parched lands the normal monthly quota of rain in just one day, it was something to witness as the storms unleashed thunder so loud that the cottage rattled, cats disappearing hiding from the noise, chickens sheltered close to the cottage.
I am trusting this is a sign of a gloriously wet and wild winter, to fill the rivers once again with enough water that they may still flow in the hotter months. And many more beautiful storms to carry us through the cooler months.
The changing of the seasons is always a favorite time, as the air begins to cool the clouds begin to come, sometimes like yesterday so many different colours and types of clouds grace the sky in a single moment.

With more rain expected until Friday I can be happily cloud gazing for the rest of the week.
There is nothing so boring as an always blue cloudless sky......

Those certainly look like dramatic clouds.

Enjoy that rain! I wish it would do that here for a couple of days.
