A cloudy morning doesn't discourage my movements around the garden being observed. A couple of pink and grey galahs hopeful more seed might be thrown out.
The one perched in the flame tree made me smile when it dipped its face towards a bloom looking like it was smelling it. I love the flame trees all year round, in summer they are very shady and this one offers the cottage afternoon protection from the relentless summer heat. Now though the flowers are out and the branches mostly bare. They are stunning when in flower.
In the front garden a new holland honeyeater was feasting on one of the grevillea trees currently flowering.
This one doesn't flower all year like many of the other grevillia's in my garden.
Normally the pair of red capped parrots come to feed on this one. They are difficult to capture on film as they are very shy birds. I see the pair in the garden at different times throughout the year, hopefully this year I will be able to get some good photographs of them when they come to the front garden to feed on this particular plant....
