Sometimes a situation happens that truly makes you appreciate how fragile life is.
In this situation thankfully no one was hurt, but one minute later, or reacting in a different way and I dare not think about the different outcomes that could of happened.
If that was meant to be.
Imagine driving along chatting away on a quiet Saturday evening, the light just turned green so on you drive.
Then your passenger begins screaming your name.
You are not quite sure why until you see a person walking out onto the road.
Time slows down.
You look at the green light again and try to figure out why this person has just strolled out onto the busy main road.
You can't remember making all of the split second decisions that save the person on the road and you and your passenger.
Everything is so intense, you even see the expression on the person's face.
Watch as he flails his arms around trying to maintain his balance as you maneuver the car around him.
You even realise as you pass that he was drunk or stoned and perhaps he didn't even know he just walked out onto the road.
Your heart is racing.
Nothing seems real.
Then suddenly you are safe, he is safe. It's over.
Realising that if you set off a fraction of a second later, or maybe braking harder everything would have changed. Your life could have been changed forever in a way that right at that moment you don't want to dwell on.
Life is so precious.
Each day we are here truly is a gift.
Moment to moment we never really know what will happen. We plan and we dream yet we never know when something will happen to us or to someone we love that will alter a path and change the direction of one life or many lives.
Gratitude............

You've described this situation so beautifully. I've experienced similar things and it really does make you think about life.
