My black coral pea vine provided courtesy of bird leaving the seed to germinate, is as magnificent as always.
This year it has created a fabulous natural canopy to walk under. It has an abundance of flowers waiting to open. The birds and insects have a feast waiting for them.
The black coral pea is a native western Australian wildflower when it began to grow five years ago I had absolutely no idea what the plant was. I actually have never seen one in the wild. They are absolutely stunning. Partly because black flowers are somewhat unusual, also the way it grows creating a shelter for smaller birds. Thanks to a kindly bird this one is thriving, and there is even a nest hidden in the dense leafy tangle.
I have noticed another in the front garden, again thanks to a bird passing a seed.
Isn't nature amazing when you think of how plants travel from one place to another being passed through the digestive tract of birds and animals to spread the plants from one area to another.
Mother Nature is astounding.
There must be a wild one somewhere within flying distance, having one pop up was amazing. Now another, well that is simply magical.....
