A few of the girls having a rest on one of the chairs in the garden. Tiny Pearl too little to jump up kept to foraging in the soil close by.
They tend to get up on this chair shortly after being let out of their night box. Sometimes they will stay here for an hour or so preening and softly cooing to each other.
Little Bella's feather are just magnificent, so black that in the sunshine they shimmer like opals with hues of blues and greens, and in the right light a vibrant purple.....
