In The Same.....

In the same dead tree trunk where I spotted the pink and grey galahs nesting on Wednesday today I saw a pair of ringnecks cooing to their eggs.

Sadly the pink and grey galah nest was raided and the nesting pair gone. I spent time watching this adorable pair, dad keeping watch and mother keeping close to her eggs. 

In the space of an hour when I next returned the pair had gone and two ravens stood on top of the tree. Sadness for the ringneck parrots, their eggs not lasting long at all. Hopefully both the galahs and the ringnecks might find a nesting spot with a bit more protection next time they decide to nest.....
