Discovering A New Plant....

Discovering a new plant while out and about will always stop me in my tracks.
Never too busy am I to stop and smell a flower, touch the delicate foliage or simply stand to admire it.
This is a melaleuca fulgens, or apricot honeymyrtle.
Spotted in a park it's unusual coloured flowers drew me towards it immediately.
A native to Western Australia and normally found growing in rocky granite areas, so an extremely hardy plant.
In the park I found this one in, it has been placed in a position where it's flowers are not easily missed for the striking display they offer.
And striking they are......
