Trying watermelon with the chicks didn't spark the interest I thought it would.
Mama clucked and cooed to her brood and they didn't seem to bothered about it.
A month old and this piece of watermelon still made them look so tiny.
Still in the cat enclosure for a few more week, the chicks are now flying up on the cat carrier and boxes I have in the enclosure for places to hide if predators come too near them.
They are getting harder to catch each day but seem to know the routine of going into the cat carrier for a brief journey to and from their outside area each day......

Since I don't like watermelon, I agree with the chicks. :)
They certainly are not fans.
Might change when the hotter weather begins though.
