The long awaited opening of the surviving silver princess flowers has begun. The tree was full of buds however the pink and grey galahs have unfortunately bitten most of them off. Which is why is discourage them from coming to the garden. They are not fully open as yet, another day or two should see them in all their exquisite beauty.
The second plant features is my firecracker grevillea. Unlike many of my other grevilleas this only flowers once a year. And the burst of colour it adds to the garden really does make it stand out.
I discovered a massive fungus growing by the jarrah tree in the front garden. Not seen one of this species before in the garden. Shall keep an eye on it now I know it is there to see how it changes as it grows.
Lastly a new holland honeyeater enjoying many a bloom on the abundantly flowering fire sprite grevilleas.........
