My flock of happy chickens enjoying the long grass and cooler days.
Still not sure whether I have two roosters with the chicks, the black one is definitely a hen, the grey a rooster, but the middle one is still a mystery thus far.
The gentle way of the chickens as they potter about the garden really brings such serenity.
They may cause a few holes in the garden here and there as they forage for bugs, but it really doesn't bother me that much.
I would rather have hens (and roosters) who have happy fulfilled lives than worry about a messed up garden.....
