Maple, Brulee and Lily......

Maple, Brulee and Lily decided to spend the morning viewing the garden from different chairs.
Maple started off under the patio before heading over to join Brulee and Lily.
I have a few dead trees to take down so I will use some of the wood to create a natural climbing  frame for them in their enclosure (which they rarely get locked in) as they all like to get off the ground.

Thankfully none of the girls go too high in exploring the shrubs and trees in the garden, Nova is the most adventurous and I am pretty sure her chicks will inherit her love of getting off the ground to see things from a higher vantage point.
In the wild chickens will roost in trees for safety, some free range chickens will tend to head for trees at night mine are well trained as to where to roost for the night so I don't have to run around to get them in.
Not really being able to fly they use their wings for a lift off and  sometimes they don't make the leap required, but this seat in the garden makes it easy to get a bit higher with two little jumps.........
