Enjoying a lazy day at home, the sun so warm if I stay still for long enough I drift off to sleep with incredible ease.
What a glorious way to spend a day.
This year the back garden has really taken off, winter has seen growth spurts from all the trees.
Unlike colder climates where winter brings with it a pause as frost and snow arrive, here in Western Australia winter sees the plant life flourish when the rains begin after the intensity of the hot and usually very dry summer months.
The long awaited upper canopy is beginning to form as four trees in particular head towards the heavens. They are dwarfing the rest of the trees in the garden and all are taller than I, so it gives and indication of their height even though from these pictures they don't appear that high.
With the patio extension is giving me more places to sit in the back garden I am seeing things from new perspectives.
Also as the shrubs continue to bush out and get taller there are new nooks being formed giving the garden more personality and places to sit and unwind as nature dances around me.
There is colour everywhere, flowers are full of bees and other insects collecting pollen and nectar, birds flitting in and out of the leaves in search of bugs and other tasty offerings, some singing, some preening, others having a minute or two alone.
Such an absolutely perfect way to relax in the peaceful haven I have created allowing time to slowly drift by.........
