A day of watching the goings on in the garden, the chicks have all got tiny wing feathers now, and all three had weeny tail feathers just starting to pop out.
How incredible life is, watching these tiny beings starting out their journeys in life is a privilege.
If they are all hens they will remain here their entire lifetime living a life of freedom in what some refer to as chicken heaven.
The garden has been so beautiful today, full of buzzing bees and many different melodies from all the varieties of birds in the garden.
A lot of time has been spent just sitting near the chicks watching them learning from their mother. their feed bowl gets up turned as they all jump in for some seed, in the end I left it where it had fallen.
A branch placed on the cat hammock was used by Nova for a bit of time away from the little ones, that being all of about a minute.
Such a doting mother, always talking away to her adorable brood as they run along around her.
Aslan has spent a fair bit of time around the chicks today, bless his heart he was getting very keen to share his prize of worms he had dug up with his babies, sadly they missed out on the treat today. Soon they will out running with the flock.
The other hens kept closer today as well, Lily in particular was a constant visitor to mama and chicks.
A day of reflection and gratitude for the ability to find such richness from nature, so calming and utterly nurturing, the one true medicine for my soul and my heart......
