Waking To.......

Waking to the blissful sound of rain tinkling on the tin roof of the cottage was such a soothing sound to hear as I opened my eyes.

With the weather recently shifting to that of spring the sun already having a bit of a sting to it I was extremely happy to welcome another rainy and cooler day.

Opening the curtains and gazing out into the garden it appeared so magical, raindrops glistening like tiny lights twinkling in the soft morning light.

Not a fan of the summer months here in Western Australia I would welcome these gentle rainy days all year round, there is something so nurturing and gentle about the gift of rainy day.

Looking out into the garden from the cottage I was grateful for the downpour overnight, the garden had already began to show signs of drying out as the days had began to warm up.

Having planted a few more plants in the past few weeks this rain is so beneficial for them as they need to get their roots strong before the intensity of summer descends upon us once again.......
