Warm sunshine was doing it's best to offer some heat yesterday afternoon, the wind however had other ideas. One of my rarer grevilleas has three buds on her. They looked striking against the sky. In another week or so they will be in full bloom.
I also interrupted two ladybugs mating, not something one sees to often! I made sure the chickens attention was elsewhere and left them to it. The garden had such an inviting feel to it and so many plants are offering their beauty. The honeypots are nearly fully open. These unique flowers are part of the banksia family, however their flowers are very different to the standard banksia flower. The honeypots have a little pool of nectar in the centre which the birds and insects come to drink from.
One of my jam tree acacia's is flowering the yellow caterpillar like flowers are quite different to most acacias, the other two trees are yet to bud.
Such a happy vibe was emmanting from the garden as colour and fragrance swirled in the crisp afternoon breeze......
