As the sun made a brief appearance yesterday it was back to the banks of the Swan River I went. Gleefully happy I was in my element as the winds carried forth another storm front. Trees were down and giant puddles created a playground for the ducks. A few preferring these mini lakes to the river itself. Magpies were also hunting in the water logged grassland as the parrots were flitting about higher up in the trees. A single willy wagtail stopped for a few special photos.
The banks breached slightly more than yesterday, a worry for the burrowing marsupials that dwell next the waters edge. Although these storms cause havoc they also bring life giving water to the bushlands, replenishing and reviving.....
