This Is.......

This is unfortunately a regular sight in the summer months here in Chidlow.

Helicopters landing at the oval behind my home to reload with water before heading off to release the water on a nearby fire.
The sound of a helicopter overhead is quite deafening when its above your house, the cat's scattering and hiding, the chickens heading for cover and birds shrieking and heading for the safety of their trees as the helicopters come in to land, the urgency of their flight to fill up with water always brings with it a moment of pause, first thought is how close is the fire.

With a relay of helicopters flying in for more water my thoughts as always goes to the creatures of the bush-land and the terror they would be enduring.....

Good shots of it.

The helicopters we see here most often are the medevac types.

Thank you William.

Neither are a good reason to see/hear a helicopter.
