Stopping to admire the blooms on this tree as I had never seen them before.
So striking they were that I wandered onto the lawn to take a couple of photos, the owner peering out the window as I paused to marvel at these flowers.
Doing a bit of research I discovered it is a cape chestnut tree which is from South Africa.
The flowers are just exquisite, what a beautiful addition to this otherwise rather uninteresting garden....
