Grevilleas are one of my favourite native flowers, I have fourteen in my garden, not all are flowering at the moment, those that are however are certainly attracting many insects and birds. Grevillea flowers are very otherworldly unlike most flowers they don't have petals as such which gives their flowers the unusual appearance. I never lose my fasciation of them; the insects disappear deep within the flowers whilst searching for the nectar in their colourful tangle...

Very unusual to my eyes.
I expect they are rather different to what you see.
