Another Beautiful Morning....

Another beautiful morning, the soft golden light of an autumn morning really is quite spectacular. The promise of fertility lingering in the air as all the plants awaken from their summer slumber. The acacia trees have begun to bloom their delicate tiny pompom flowers sending their subtle perfume out across the garden, tempting birds to partake of their nourishing nectar.

The unfolding of the pincushion hakeas is now well underway, I look forward to these flowers unfolding at the end of each summer, they never fail to amaze with their mystical beauty. Their unfolding takes many days. when they are fully open the birds and bees continuously feast on the abundance of flowers.

Throughout the garden there is a hum as the cool weather initiates the flowering season to begin, everywhere I look buds are appearing, colour once again decorating the garden.
The birds are equally joyous as the cooler months approach, mating rituals are beginning for many of the bushland birds, nest building is also happening in the garden in preparation for settling down to nest and rear their chicks....
