In Explorer Mode

In explorer mode I set of yesterday on another path I have passed many times yet had never taken.
I have a saying that I have lived by for many years, that once a year you should go somewhere or do something you have never been before.
It's all about expanding the soul.
Not being a creature of habit, I am often exploring new roads which lead to new places. I knew that I was headed n the general direction of an abandoned quarry,  yet I didn't realise that the trail I was on would lead me right to it.

It does break my heart to see the earth blasted apart like this. So savage. Thankfully this area is no longer being raped by the barbaric hands of the miners. At the foot of these gigantic cliffs I felt so tiny and insignificant. I also felt a great sorrow and pain. It was also eerily quiet.
I have never been able to fathom why a so called intelligent species blows up its own home.

Although the sun was out the air was brisk. And after a few decent showers of late the bushland was finally coming alive. There was a carpet of lush green covering the earth in most places and a few flowers being to bloom.....

Humanity can be foolish. It's the graffiti that particularly annoys me.

They can be foolish. Agree totally about the graffiti.
