A Beautiful Autumn Morning........

A beautiful autumn morning the ground soaked after nearly 24 hours of torrential rain. Finally the flowers are beginning to brighten the garden with an array of vibrant colours. The pincushion hakeas are still in full bloom and now so too are many of the grevilleas.
No bees were out this morning, the air perhaps still too damp. The food and flower meadow is slowly growing, the rain will really help these plants in getting stronger. Given that the meadow was planted in a rather haphazard way I don't really know what is going to grow where given the mixture of seeds that were scattered into the earth.
A few birds were enjoying the garden alongside the chickens. And I was delighted to see a few flowers on the blueberry bush, which means I need to get it protected from the chickens helping themselves to their favourite fruit......
