Feeling more like spring than autumn the earth is still parched and dry. The garden has it's normal autumnal flowers appearing yet the heat of the sun is drying them out all to swiftly. There maybe the chance of showers mid week, but I won't hold my breath as the forcast never seems to be right of late.
After mowing the back grass yesterday I stood back a moment and realised how much the garden shifts from year to year. As plants thrive the atmosphere of the garden carries a different vibration.
There are more smaller birds frequenting the garden all year round now. Many nesting in the bushier plants. Insects are also abundant swarming around the array of flowers on offer.
With a couple more plants to place in the ground along with the blueberry bush I realise I haven't got much space left for new plants. Yet homes will be found for the mint, lime verbena and black eyed susan. I have also decided to get a few more herbs potted for teas and cooking closer to the cottage......

The close ups of that bee are quite something to see.
Thank you William.
