Miss Bear was investigating the scurrying sounds coming from the ceiling. The resident possum was creating a right racket, goodness knows what it was up to!
I have yet to sight the freeloader who dwells in the roof space, yet evidence is often seen around the garden of possums having fun at night...

These photos made me smile. They reminded me of a cat I once had over 20 years ago. She loved to climb up on top of the refrigerator and then pull on the spring-loaded cabinet door up there. It was an attention getting trick and it usually worked.
Cats are really remarkable creatures, ignoring them is not possible for me.
That would draw her attention.
It certainly did.
