Evidence of a quenda visiting the garden overnight was a wonderful discovery this morning. It was certainly busy, there were quite a few little holes dug throughout the back garden.
Quendas are a threatened species, due predation from cats and foxes, plus loss of habitat, so having one frequenting the garden is exciting.
They are great to have around as they promote ecological health, being the cutest ecosystem engineers.
They dig little holes searching for bulbs and tubers, obviously my garden has a lot of tasty morsels hidden just under the surface, plus I think that it might be the quenda as well as perhaps the possums that keep digging up my potatoes...
