A few flowers are still filling the otherwise dry looking landscape with a burst of colour, the descent of summers arrival over the landscape seems to have been swift this year.
As yet water is still flowing gently at Lesmurdie Falls, however in the next few weeks this will turn into a trickle before ceasing altogether.
My fascination with running water comes from the sheer lack of it here during the summer months. Some water bodies dry out completely, others go stagnant as the intense summer heat draws every ouch of moisture from the earth, leaving everything parched and craving for the blessing of rain...
