Woodlake Park in Ellenbrook is normally a joy to visit, this time though I noticed that the park has many dying plants and trees as well as that the lawn has also been left to wither and die. The once serene park now radiates an air of sadness.
There has also been a disease in the ponds and many of the waterbirds have died, the cause, humans feeding bread to the ducks. This added to my dismay.
Wandering around in a somewhat solemn mood I was quite downhearted; this was slowly transformed into cheerfulness as glimpses of beauty from the remaining blooms and tranquil presence of the birds crept into my heart...
