An afternoon preening session as little Gaia tries to stay cool in the intense summer heat.
As little chick is growing I am still wondering if she is she or in fact a he.
She does seem to look an awful lot like her dad.
Another few weeks should finally give me the answer as the wattle (the red parts on the head) grows.
If she is a he then sadly I will need to re-home her as roosters are not known for getting along too well and one rooster crowing in the early hours is quite enough for the neighbours to contend with.
Until I know for certain life will still be enjoyed here........
