The Duck Family.......

 The duck family arrives every morning and stays in the garden all day, returning to a log nearby where they sleep at night, I do worry about them being out near the roads, thankfully all seven are still turning up each morning.

There is plenty of fresh grass and bugs for the ducklings to eat, and the parents lead them up each morning towards the cottage for a bit of rice and some lettuce leaves before going to the chicken space for some seed.

I have seven containers of water scattered around the garden all big enough so that the ducklings can get in and splash around.

Although the parents know that it is safe here for the chicks I am keeping my distance when out in the garden so that the parents don't stress out too much, I am so humbled by the ducks knowing that they could bring their ducklings here, and am happy to sit away from them just observing the family.

Still seeing their arrival as a blessing, and the family will be here until the ducklings are big enough to fly to the nearby lake, that should be when they are between 50 and 70 days old, so I have a good deal of time to watch them grow.......
