Being....

Being silent and still as much as possible especially now in a world that has seemingly gone mad seems to be the only way I find peace.

Luckily here where I live things have remained pretty much normal compared to the rest of the world this past year. There have been a couple of short lockdown periods other than that life has flowed. What has become apparent is that each and everyone one of us should be grateful for waking each day in good health. It's not just the global health crisis that has prompted this post, but that people in general are not grateful at all. Many seem to like to gossip and argue, some thrive on drama and in this current world age that sort of behaviour is pointless.

One of the people close to me has had three loses in the past three weeks, someone's house burnt to the ground, then another friend of hers was found dead one morning and then today she learnt that another of her friends had lost a son. Recently as well a submarine was lost and all on board died. Then of course there is covid.
Life is fragile, and none of us know when our last tomorrow arrives.
We need to be grateful for all of our senses. Grateful for good health. Grateful for having work. A home. Food. A warm and cosy bed at night.
For people who love us.

There is so much to be grateful for.

Life is about tragedy and loss as much as it is about happiness and joy.
And it's about gratitude.
I have a deep gratitude for the natural world too, for all the life forms that struggle to survive as the natural order of things is shifted due to the interference of the humans.
I do take the time to be grateful for the oceans, the forests and all creatures who have made it this far.
I am grateful for waking each day.
I am grateful for a garden to tend.
For place to reflect as the chaos out there gets out of hand.

Time is precious because none of us know when our last day will be.
We ought to be grateful for having time.
And we ought to spend our time wisely doing things that bring feelings of happiness and contentment and with people who see us with their hearts.......

Well said. The negativity emanating from the world today is all consuming. I've found I'm really having to center myself in the present moment and spend a lot of time in nature to counteract the vibes.
