First It Was....

First it was a gentle drizzle, then the thunder and lightning began. And when the downpour started I couldn't stop smiling.
At last a much needed heavy shower of rain.
Did I mind getting drenched opening the gate when I arrived home?
Not a bit.
Seeing the garden being pelted with such intense force, the plants seemed to be in a frenzied dance as the wind tore around them. It was a beautiful sight. It was wild, even a bit savage as the force of the storm hit.

This morning all is still, raindrops decorating all the plants twinkling in the soft morning light.
The air fresh.
The garden almost humming.

Everything has been replenished, even though I water the garden all through the summer, there is more oxygen in the rain than in tap water. Also because rainwater is more acidic it releases stored up nutrients from the soil,  thus prompting a good feed for the garden bringing everything more energy.

Hopefully this will mean that summer is over at long last and rain continues to fall regularly for the next few months.......

Things certainly look drenched.
