In the recent past I made the decision to speak less and to also socialise less often too.
The quote above is absolutely true.
I feel so much more being silent and have less of a need to speak.
Apart from being at work I have actively retreated from society. I have embraced silence and found such deep joy in the act of just being.
I don't feel the need nor have the desire to fill in the silence anymore.
Even communication via sms/email messages has dwindled as I realised that if I don't have something to really say then why talk/communicate just out of habit?
It's in the silent blankness of stillness that I hear so much, that I feel much more than when the mouth is busy chattering or the brain thinking of what to say in written communication.
In stillness there is so much peace.
There is a deep sonorous love that dwells in silence it is not found from seeking something outside the self.
Hear the silence and feel.
The silence brings a contentment not found anywhere else, a medicine for the soul......
