The sky full of rain as another storm descends upon us today, winds so strong that the towering palm tree in the property next door was bending in the wind as the gusts increased in their intensity.
I love a stormy day, dark clouds and high winds, the roaring sound of thunder as it rumbles and cracks in the sky and the spectacular dance of lightning illuminating the clouds as it too travels overhead.
It was reported that we are going to get a months worth of rain in day, so far though there is not much rain perhaps the wind being as strong as it is has carried it away.
With the fire crackling and the house warm I have the perfect vantage point to watch the storm as it passes, listening to the eerie sounds the wind is making as it tears around the cottage all makes for a perfect Sunday, and as I type the the temperature has dropped a few degrees as the rain finally begins to fall........
