The Mystery Flower ............

The mystery flower has unfolded and as expected it is a native iris. Such magical flowers and capturing it with water droplets on the petals added to its beauty. Having been in the garden since I moved in it really took its time to bloom. Moving it earlier this year was the prompt it required to blossom. Next winter I will replant her around the pond with the other native grasses and other native iris plants already in that part of the garden.

Morning meanders around the garden, coffee mug in hand is by far one of the highlights of my day.
Observing the changes.
Admiring the beauty.
Feeling the vibrant energy of the plants.
As the weather is beginning to warm the native plants begin to thrive. Each year I am amazed at how the plants grow in the soaring heat which leaves me struggling to cope. Yet the native plants love this intense dry heat.
The garden is buzzing with life and colour. In the evenings the sounds of happy croaking frogs replace the chorus of birdsong, there is a blissfulness that shrouds the garden. It is a happy place where all the senses are stimulated, it is truly a gift that so many enjoy.

In the back of the garden the heady fragrance from the cape lilac fills the air. In summer when the tree fruits the red tail and carnaby cockatoos come to feast on these fruits. Being gentle and rather private birds having them come to feed in the garden is very special.

It is interesting watching the seasons pass in a garden. Seeing how each flower entices certain birds and insects is a never ending source of joy for me.
Life is utterly magnificent.
The wonders that surround me are so uplifting.
Nature inspires me with her endless offerings of beauty and gives my life meaning and a deep sense of purpose.......
