Point Fraser was the second destination yesterday. There has been a foreshore redevelopment here constructing a wetland which is assisting in ecological restoration.
The area was actually really rather impressive.
Thought had really gone into creating a flourishing place for the waterbirds. Again there were numerous families living life on the water.
As with the birds at the previous park they were not as flighty as the birds that live up in the hills and in bushland. From what I witnessed nothing appeared to bother them as they went about their day.
They really have adapted to city life with all it's noise and chaos surrounding them.
Life seemed to be perfect for the birds that live here. The atmosphere as I ambled around was quietly peaceful, it was a place that truly stimulated the senses. At times I forgot I was actually in the city, and that was something that totally surprised me....
