One of the magpies fledglings came for the morning family feed in the garden. Still covered with the fluffy grey down and visibly smaller than the adults with it. It was very vocal demanding food as it followed the flock around. This baby is a female as she doesnt have a solid white section of feathers on her back like the males do.
The magpies have become rather demanding and are now coming several times a day in search of food. I only feed them the once per day as I don't want them to become dependent on what they have here.
It is always enjoyable watching the new family members coming to the garden each year.....
