An unexpected discovery of a quaint cottage cafe made for the perfect refreshment stop on another dreadfully hot day. Greeting me as I descended the steps was a pair of crested pigeons and a peewee lark. Unfortunately the intense brightness of the sun in the summertime does hamper photos on a cloudless day. Still took a few photos of them as they foraged in the shade of the trees.
I have driven past this cafe countless times and from the road it doesn't impress.
On a whim I decided to stop and see what it was like and loved the inviting garden. Apparently there is normally a dog, a couple of cats and a flock of chickens meandering around.. Today though they were smart enough to find some shady spots to rest and stay out of the heat....
