Revisiting Kings Meadow Reserve in Guildford after all the wild storms and rain this last month to see how the river was flowing. It was moving swiftly in the middle and had burst its banks even more since my last visit. The pathways down to the river swallowed by water. A massive gum tree was uprooted and lay forlornly on the field. Most of the walking paths underwater as was the majority of the playing field.
The first duckling family I have seen this season were enjoying the abundance of water. Although the current was rather swift the water had a calming feel to it without the gale force winds blowing. Curious to see how other parts of the river fared I decided to check out a few other of my regular places.....
