Ending The Day....

Ending the day yesterday with a short walk at the lake. The water choppy as the wind tore across it, no birdlife was seen except for a pair of western swamp hen's out foraging for food. I feel most of the birds were hunkered down as the wild winds whipped across the land. 

I followed the overflow stream down a path I had not taken before. The rushing water oozing out onto lower land away from the lake itself, if much more rain comes though this area could well flood.

Today thankfully the stormy conditions have ceased. 

A cloak of silence greeting the day with a mostly clear blue sky, perhaps a reprieve from the wild wet weather.....
