The chicks who I guess are nearly to big to be referred to as chicks enjoying the patio this morning.
They will be three months old on the 8th of December, how fast they have grown, it is difficult to imagine how tiny they were.
Little Pluto, on the table, is clearly a rooster. The other two I am guessing are hens, they seems to follow Pluto around and he is protecting them, but their fluffy head feathers have me a bit confused.
None of the other hens have such fluffy heads, especially not their mother.
Thinking that they have more of the araucana genes from their father which would give the hens fluffier heads.
I really hope that they are hens and don't start crowing alongside Pluto, whose crowing is really quite cute to hear as he starts to use his voice.
Aslan is not really interested in his chicks at all, there is no fighting between him and his little son which is a blessing.
Sometimes they whole flock hang out together, at other times the little ones go off on their own, no matter where they are in the garden little Pluto is clearly becoming a lovely rooster and is showing signs of being very protective over his siblings....
