The Chicks Are....

The chicks are pretty much fully grown now and keep mainly to themselves.
Pluto has begun crowing and it is the funniest sound. He herds the other two and is yet to forage for food for them like his father does for the rest of the flock, but I guess that will come in time.
Pluto is getting some stunning colour through on his elaborate neck and back feathers, each morning I notice that he has changed slightly from the day before.
The two hens still have no names, these girls don't look like their mother at all but have taken on the acraucana genes from their father, their fluffy head feathers are really different from the other hens I have.
Being cross bred they were bound to be unusual.
They are very sociable, don't mind a cuddle and like to hang out with me when I am outside, actually they like it when the cats are out too.
Charlie was enjoying watching them as the chicks wandered around the enclosure watching the cats as well, Nala though had had enough after half an hour and was demanding to be taken inside to the security of the cottage.
And when the cats were all inside the chicks wandered off into the garden once again......
