The golden hours, those quiet hours at dawn and dusk where light is otherworldly is my favourite time of the day. It's normally a time where the world is quiet, either waking up or getting ready for night to fall.
Sitting outside watching the endless gliding stream of golden clouds drifting across the sky, the colours changing by the second as were the shapes the clouds continuously created, a time of stillness and reflection of another day done.
Cloud watching has been a favourite pastime my entire life, what filled me with joy as a child still does so now. Laying back on the ground gazing upward, watching and being completely lost in my fascination with the sky. Picking out a face or a shape and watching it shift and change until it finally dissolves and dissipates. With no television in my home I find my entertainment in nature, however entertainment is perhaps the wrong choice of word. Awe is a much more fitting word. My awe with nature is what keeps me sane in this out of balance world I find myself in. Once I was told that I had to lose my awe of nature to actually appreciate it, well to me to be in awe of the never ending tapestry of nature is the only way for me to live, and anyone who doesn't see the awe, especially in the little things like drifting clouds is missing out on what living a life is really about......
