Penumbra...

Penumbra is a photographic exhibition currently on at The Zig Zag Cultural Centre in Kalamunda.

As the tile of the exhibition suggests, the artist has focused on partial illumination of her subjects, the play of shadows and light. 

It was interesting seeing the photographs exhibited unframed, or mounted in some other way. Perhaps the artist decided that should people wish to purchase a piece of her work, then they would prefer a frame of their own selection?

It was engaging viewing these, I guess because I too like to create with a camera, I always like seeing things from another perspective. 

My eye prefers a far different kind of imagine. But that's what art of any kind is all about isn't it?
