The contest for who gets to sleep in the box really amuses me. After all there are so many fluffy cosy places for Bear and Charlie to choose from. Yet, if there's a box, then they constantly compete as to who is going to sleep in it.
Bear was first to snuggle down in the newest box as the warmth of the sunshine came streaming through the window. Charlie kept pestering her, until at last, he succeeded in pushing her out.
I always keep at least two cardboard boxes of different sizes inside for the kitty kids, especially in the winter.
This particular box seems to be a favourite as its been occupied constantly since I bought it home on Tuesday.
Perhaps I ought to get another of the same size and place in the other front window? That way they can both enjoy the healing benefits of sleeping in a cardboard box.
Cardboard boxes are soothing for cats, as the cardboard creates a comfortable snug environment. Their body heat warms the box, the warmth then relaxes their muscles and induces pure contentment...
