A quick visit to Zanthorrea nursery yesterday afternoon just before some heavy rain set in. It's such a tranquil place; the classical music that is played adds even more ambience as one strolls along selecting new plants for the garden.
They have done a massive pruning in the gardens themselves, so sadly there wasn't a lot of flowers blooming. Like my own garden, theirs is evidently suffering from the summers draining heat. Mind you, I've also got the rabbits eating a lot of plants as well, but I most certainly won't be harming the bunnies, nor chasing them off.
I expect by spring, Zanthorrea's gardens, like my own will be replenished and vibrant after several months of rainy cold weather.
I love this time of year here in Western Australia, everything is green, flowers begin to bloom and all the plants thrive and grow in the gentle cooler months...
