Earlier In The Year...

Earlier in the year I took a drive to the coastal suburb of Two Rocks. It had been far too long since I had visited the shores of the Indian Ocean. Since I moved from the coastal suburbs where a quick four minute drive had my toes in the sand, to being nestled in amongst the trees in the Perth foothills, I rarely go to meander along the waters edge.
There's something soothing about being near the ocean.
The feeling of bare feet on the sand. The salty scent tainted with the reek of seaweed drying out. It's a smell that is welcoming as the hypnotic sound of the waves draws me to the waters edge. The second I enter the water is always a sacred moment for me; for in that instant I am fully connected to the universe.
Earth, air, fire and water.
All the elements swirling around me in a sacred silent dance...

Beautiful! A day at the beach is always something welcome. It's a bit further away for me but I do manage to go about once a year.
